Research Development Workshop Management and Entrepreneurship Research
In April and May 2026, the Jackstädtzentrum will host the “Research Development Workshop Management and Entrepreneurship Research.” The course is taught by Prof. Dr. Julia de Groote, Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research at the University of Wuppertal.
The course provides a structured framework for the targeted development of participants’ own research projects. The focus is on the presentation and critical discussion of ongoing research as well as on developing skills in academic presentation and constructive feedback.
The course begins with an online kick-off session on April 17, 2026 (2:00–3:30 PM), during which the course concept is introduced and expectations are clarified. Participants then submit either a full paper, an extended abstract, or a description of their research design. Based on these submissions, discussant roles are assigned.
The course is aimed at doctoral candidates in management and entrepreneurship and related disciplines. Participation is limited to a maximum of 15 participants. Course materials will be provided in English, while the language of the in-person sessions will depend on the participants. To receive credit, participants must take part in all course components (submission, discussant role, and presentation).
