Jackstädtzentrum at the Symposium „Perspectives on Wealth“
The Jackstädtzentrum for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research was represented at the VolkswagenStiftung's “Perspectives on Wealth” symposium held at Herrenhausen Palace on March 17 and 18, 2026. Participants included Prof. Dr. Julia de Groote and Jan Ole Krieg from the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research, as well as project partners Prof. Dr. Isabell Stamm and Franziska Cooiman from the Department of Sociology of Organization, Work, and Economy at TU Berlin. Together, they are collaborating on the interdisciplinary project “Capital Cities: Understanding Wealth Concentration in the Startup Ecosystems of Berlin and Paris.”
The symposium provided a forum for the funded projects under this funding programme to discuss interim results, network with one another, and advance the further development of the projects. The exchange provided valuable insights for theoretical and methodological development. The discussion on data collection issues proved to be particularly productive in the context of the Capital Cities project. The insights gained from the experiences of other projects provided valuable starting points for further research.
Furthermore, the symposium once again highlighted the relevance of research on wealth for understanding societal developments. Discussions focused on current challenges, potential solutions, and prospects for future knowledge transfer into practice.
