From March 17 to 19, 2026, the annual conference of the Verband der Hochschullehrerinnen und Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft (VHB) took place in Göttingen, bringing together the German-speaking business research community.

The Jackstädt Center was actively represented in several sessions. Prof. Dr. Christine Volkmann contributed to the sessions “The Future of Business Administration” and “Ownership Reimagined – Alternative Models for Responsible and Inclusive Value Creation.” Both discussions addressed current questions related to responsibility, inclusion, and the future direction of business administration as a field.

Prof. Dr. Julia de Groote participated in the panel discussion “Strategic Leadership for Responsible Innovation,” where she discussed key challenges and opportunities for managers and entrepreneurs in the context of responsible innovation.

A particularly noteworthy moment was that the session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Matthias Schulz and Prof. Dr. Philip Steinberg. Both began their academic careers as doctoral researchers at the Jackstädt Center and now hold professorships.

In addition, Dr. Andrew J. Isaak Isaak was awarded a “Fit for Funding” scholarship by the Jackstädt Foundation.

During the conference dinner, the hosting of the 2028 VHB annual conference was officially handed over to the University of Wuppertal. The Jackstädt Center looks forward to welcoming the academic community in Wuppertal.
