The report provides a detailed insight into the diverse activities and achievements of the Jackstädt Center in 2023. As a center for economic research and development, the Jackstädt Center continues to promote innovation, international collaboration, and the fostering of entrepreneurial initiatives.
In 2023, the center was particularly active in scaling social innovations and strengthening sustainable economic models. A standout project was the successful completion of the BMBF-funded external project "Collaboration for Social Innovation: Scaling for Impact." Significant progress was also made in research areas such as circular economy and entrepreneurial orientation, which were presented at international conferences.
Regionally, the Jackstädt Center remained highly engaged. The Start-up Center continued to establish itself as a central hub for business creation and organized successful events such as the "Bergische Start-up Week" and the "Sustainable Start-up Days." Particularly noteworthy is the "Women Entrepreneurs in Science (WES)" project, which built a strong network for female founders in North Rhine-Westphalia.
